Cookie notice
What this site keeps in your browser, and why.
This notice lists every item Genyra.com can place in your browser, what each one does, how long it lasts and when it is set. Google Analytics counts visits to the public pages; everything else exists only to make a feature you chose work.

AT A GLANCE
The short version.
The complete inventory follows. These four points are the substance of it.
- Google Analytics sets two cookies on the public pages, lasting up to two years, so that we can count visits and see which pages are read. In the United Kingdom, the EEA and Switzerland they are set only after you press Allow; elsewhere by default.
- One further cookie is set only after you sign in to a client or staff account.
- Three browser-storage keys remember your motion preference, your analytics choice and that you dismissed the short cookie statement, each set only after you act.
- Cookie settings at the foot of each page turns analytics off or on; everything here can be cleared from your browser, and the site works without it.
How this site uses your browser.
Cookies and browser storage are used here for two reasons: to count visits to the public pages with Google Analytics, and to make a feature you chose work. The six items below are the complete list of what this site itself sets; Cloudflare, which delivers it, may add the two security cookies described after them. If that list changes, this notice and its date change with it.
Whether the analytics cookies are set without asking depends on where you are. Genyra LLC is a United States company, so on most of the world the short statement at the foot of the page tells you that Google Analytics is running and offers Turn off. If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, or your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, the statement asks first and no analytics cookie is set until you press Allow. Until you answer, Google Analytics runs without cookies or any stored identifier and sends only anonymous pings that Google counts in aggregate. Your choice is remembered in your browser and can be changed at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
Complete inventory.
Each entry gives the exact name, type, purpose, when it is set, how long it lasts and its attributes, taken from the site’s code.
_ga
- Type
- HTTP cookie, analytics (Google Analytics)
- Purpose
- tells one browser from another so that repeat visits count as one visitor, holding a random client identifier
- Set
- by the Google Analytics script on the first public page you open, by default outside the United Kingdom, the EEA and Switzerland, and only after you press Allow within them
- Duration
- 2 years from your last visit
- Attributes
- Secure, SameSite=Lax, set for genyra.com; the identifier goes to Google with each page view and is never linked to an enquiry or account
_ga_MH637ES318
- Type
- HTTP cookie, analytics (Google Analytics)
- Purpose
- keeps the state of your current visit, including when it began and how many pages it has covered
- Set
- with _ga, under the same conditions
- Duration
- 2 years from your last visit
- Attributes
- Secure, SameSite=Lax, set for genyra.com; never set on the sign-in, account, enrolment, activation, unsubscribe or newsletter-confirmation pages
__Host-genyra_account
- Type
- HTTP cookie, essential
- Purpose
- keeps you signed in to a client or staff account for the length of a session
- Set
- only after a successful sign-in at /account/login or /admin/login, never for ordinary visitors
- Duration
- 12 hours, or until you sign out, whichever is first
- Attributes
- HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, Path=/; the value is a random token that the server stores only as a hash
genyra-motion-preference
- Type
- browser local storage, essential preference
- Purpose
- remembers whether you switched the site’s motion on or off, stored as the word “on” or “off”
- Set
- only after you use the motion control in the site header or footer, never for ordinary visitors
- Duration
- until you change the preference or clear your browser’s site data; it does not expire on its own
- Attributes
- stays in your browser and is never sent to the server; with no saved choice the site follows your device’s reduced-motion setting
genyra-cookie-consent
- Type
- browser local storage, essential preference
- Purpose
- remembers your analytics choice, stored as the word “granted” or “denied”
- Set
- only after you press Allow, Decline or Turn off on the cookie statement or in Cookie settings, never before
- Duration
- until you change it or clear your browser’s site data
- Attributes
- stays in your browser and is never sent to the server; “denied” switches the Google Analytics script off entirely and removes its cookies
cf_clearance and __cf_bm
- Type
- HTTP cookies, essential, set by Cloudflare
- Purpose
- record that a visitor has passed Cloudflare’s automated-traffic check so the check is not repeated on every request
- Set
- by Cloudflare, only when it decides to check a connection, never by this site’s code
- Duration
- __cf_bm about 30 minutes; cf_clearance for the challenge-passage period set in Cloudflare, by default 30 minutes
- Attributes
- Secure, HttpOnly; they identify a connection to Cloudflare for security only and are not used by Genyra
genyra-cookie-notice
- Type
- browser local storage, essential preference
- Purpose
- remembers that you dismissed the short cookie statement shown at the foot of the page, stored as the word “seen”, so it is not shown again
- Set
- only after you press “Understood” on that statement, never before, and never where the statement asks for consent instead
- Duration
- until you clear your browser’s site data; it does not expire on its own
- Attributes
- stays in your browser and is never sent to the server; with JavaScript off the statement never appears and nothing is stored
The motion preference.
The motion control lets you choose how the experience moves. The site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under the key genyra-motion-preference. It records an interface preference, not who you are, and it is never attached to an enquiry or account.
With no saved choice, the site follows the reduced-motion setting of your device. A preference saved in one browser applies only there; another device or browser starts from its own default.
The account session cookie.
Signing in to a client or staff account sets a single cookie named __Host-genyra_account on the production site. Development copies of the site use the name genyra_account. The cookie holds a random session token; the server keeps only a hash of that token, and the session it points to expires after twelve hours.
The cookie is HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it; Secure, so it travels only over HTTPS; and SameSite=Lax, so other sites cannot send it with their requests. Signing out removes the cookie and the session on the server. No other cookie is set for sign-in, forms or security: submissions are checked on the server by their origin, not by a cookie.
Google Analytics, and no other third-party service.
Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, loads on the public pages from googletagmanager.com. With its cookies allowed it records each page viewed, the page you came from, your approximate location derived from your connection address, your browser, device and screen size, and how long the visit lasts; Google Analytics 4 does not store the connection address itself. With its cookies not allowed it records only anonymous, cookieless pings with no identifier, used for aggregate counts. Advertising features, Google Signals and any link to advertising accounts are switched off, and the reports are used only to understand which pages are read and how the site is found.
The script never loads on the sign-in, account, enrolment, activation, unsubscribe and newsletter-confirmation pages, so private links and account activity are not measured. No advertising, social-media or tag-management scripts run, and fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono), images and video are served with the site. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, may add a cookieless performance beacon of its own; it sets nothing in your browser. What is collected through enquiries and sign-in is described in the privacy notice.
How to turn analytics off, or clear browser storage.
Cookie settings, at the foot of every page, turns Google Analytics off or on. Turning it off stops the script entirely, removes its cookies and is remembered until you change it. A content blocker, your browser’s tracking protection or Google’s opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) has the same effect, and the site works identically with the script blocked.
Signing out removes the account cookie. Using the motion control again changes the stored preference. To remove everything at once, open your browser’s settings, find site data or cookies, search for genyra.com and delete the entry; in most browsers this is under Privacy and security, then Site settings or Manage website data. A private or incognito window discards all of them when it closes.
Clearing storage signs you out, returns motion to your device’s default, forgets your analytics choice and shows the short cookie statement once more. Nothing else changes.
Separate destinations have separate choices.
External websites, including Genyra.ai and catalogue destinations, may use their own cookies, browser storage and third-party services. Their notices apply when you visit them; a link from this site gives Genyra no control over those choices.
