Design application, identity and infrastructure boundaries around the information and operations they protect.

## Map the assets and entry points.

Identify the applications, data, administrative tools and external connections involved. Separate public access, ordinary use and privileged operations. The boundary should reflect how the system is actually reached and operated.

## Give each identity the access it needs.

Use explicit roles, narrowly scoped service accounts and controlled administration paths. Keep credentials out of browser code and ordinary logs. Revoking access should also end the sessions and integrations that depend on it.

## Control the route into production.

Record how software is built, configured and released. Separate deployment privileges from day-to-day application access, and verify changes before they reach the live environment. Recovery needs a known previous state.

## Keep investigation and recovery possible.

Useful logs show important changes without exposing sensitive data. Backups need protected access and tested restoration. Decide who responds to an alert and how they regain control if an account or component becomes unavailable.

## Engineering, with clear authority.

Bring the system outline, access model and the concern you need to address. Any testing must be authorised. Independent certification, formal compliance assessment and specialist security audits require their own qualified scope.
